Membership Criteria
The criteria for CMH membership:
- Members may be from UTHSA, Texas Biomed, Southwest Research Institute, or UTSA. Faculty may be on any track, research, tenure, service or clinical.
- Members should have a interest in either

- 1) elucidating the mechanisms underlying obesity, diabetes, NAFLD, kidney and cardiovascular disease, or
- 2) developing and translating new therapeutics into clinical applications.

- Members and prospective members should also be interested in seeking out collaborative extramural funding opportunities, as one of the Center’s primary goals is to pursue and acquire extramural funding from sources such as the NIH, DoD, and the VA to support its efforts in fundamental discovery.
